Anoretix Review

The Anoretix diet pill, claims to contain nine patented and clinically tested weight loss ingredients.  However, it is a common mistake, to assume that “patented” weight loss pill ingredients means that they are proven or even  effective for weight loss what so ever.  Anoretix alleges to reduce body fat,  enhance of thermogenesis, and the promotion of normal insulin levels and blood sugar levels. Anoretix ingredients’ amounts and concentrations have not been provided, thus we cannot gauge if they are present in large enough amounts to even be effective.  It is of interest that no actual clinical studies have been carried out on the efficacy of the Anoretix diet pill itself.  The only  studies have beenperformed on the ingredients.

Anoretix Ingredients
Anoretix ingredients must be provided in significant amounts to elicit real weight loss. For example, a daily dose of around 3ooo mg of CLA (Tonalin) is required (Am. J. Clin. Nutr. [2007] 85(5):1203-11) to promote weight loss.   But, the daily recommended dose of Anoretix only totals 3080 mg (or 4 capsules) of active ingredients. So the product cannot contain anywhere near the large dose of CLA required for real weight loss. Of course, this shortfall will more than likely hold true for many of the other ingredients in Anoretix.  Advantra-Z is a patented form of Synephrine, however there are studies, that show that Synephrine can elevate blood pressure and heart rate (e.g. Ann. Pharmacother. [2006] 40(1):53-7).  Researchers at Georgetown University Medical Center (Washington, DC) and Andhra University (Visakhapatnam, India) have demonstrated that Super CitriMax can inhibit appetite, promote thermogenesis without apparent side effects.  But, the dose of Super CitriMax used in the study was 4667 mg divided into 3 daily doses (J. Med. [2004] 35(1-6):33-48).  Which is quite more than the daily dosage provided by Anoretix. 

NeOpuntia (Opuntia ficus-indica) is a patented cactus extract composed of soluble and insoluble dietary fibers.  However the clinical study supporting this ingredient was very small and only involved 10 subjects. The participants in this study received 4800 mg of NeOpuntia daily. Again, a daily serving of Anoretix only contains 3080 mg of active ingredients, so it is a certaqinty that the amount of NeOpuntia included in Anoretix diet pills falls short of the dose studied to have any effect.

Two capsules of Anoretix taken 2 times per day to a total dose of 3080 mg.  Each bottle of Anoretix contains 120 capsules and lasts 30 days (4 capsules/day).

Anoretix Diet Pill Review Summary

Clinical studies have not been carried out on the Anoretix diet product itself.  Contact details for the manufacturer are limited to an email address.  No telephone number or mailing address is given – often a red flag.  Some negative testimonials have been posted related to the efficacy of Anoretix.  Anoretix is not cheap. Whenever a diet pill contains patented ingredients, there is an associated cost for manufacturing.  

Anoretix has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, and has not been evaluated in clinical studies. The Anoretix website details findings from clinical trials on individual ingredients in the Anoretix formulation. These reports show that Anoretix ingredients fall short of the amount used in the studies and thus are likely not effective in lower doses provided by the Anoretix diet pills.
